Flybuys takes on Qantas Assure

flybuys

flybuys have challenged Qantas Assure to a classic ‘step-battle’ with their latest campaign, where members can earn 10% off fruit & veg at Coles by achieving steps targets.

Members are invited to link their Fitbit or Garmin Activity Tracker to flybuys and each time they reach the step milestones, they’ll receive 10% off their fruit and veg shop at Coles.

Households can reach the milestones faster by linking up to two Activity Trackers. The steps are then combined. There are 5 targets to reach before 30 November, each 100,000 steps apart. It wouldn’t be difficult therefore for a household to achieve the target each week.

flybuys are rewarding their highest stepper with a trip to Hawaii, with the next 2,000 highest steppers earning 1,000 bonus points (worth $50).

Loyalty & Reward Co are thoroughly addicted to Qantas Assure App, where everyone in our office are banking around 400 points a week from completing around 10,000 steps a day. It is our favourite gamification play of 2016.

The big benefit of the Qantas Assure App is it runs on iPhone, so no need for Fitbits or Garmins.

That being said, flybuys are offering up to 20% off Fitbits and Garmins via their online store, making it easier to access one.

It will be interesting to see if this short-term campaign turns into a more serious gamification play.
